Kyoto City Bus, or Shibusu

The bus network is the most useful way to reach many tourist attractions in Kyoto. The fee is a fixed fare of 220 yen. Also, a one day pass (500yen) is available at JR Kyoto Station, bus terminals, and the front of each bus. You can use the bus network system unlimitely for one day.

Shibasu, or the Kyoto City Bus stystem, is another convenient method to get you to Shunkōin Temple. The buses are available in various locations.

    2. Shijō-Karasuma (in the downtown area)

    3. Shijō-Nishiōji (near the Hanyu Sannin Station)

    4. Kitano Hakubai-Chō (near Kitano Tenmangū Shrine)
    Get off the bus at the Myōshinji Kitamon-mae (in front of the North Gate of Myōshinji Temple). It takes about two minutes from the North Gate,or Kitamon, to Shunkōin Temple on foot.

    Get off the bus at the Myōshinji Kitamon-mae (in front of the North Gate of Myōshinji Temple). It takes about two minutes from the North Gate, Kitamon, to Shunkōin Temple on foot.

    Get off the bus at the Myōshinji-mae (near the South Gate of Myōshinji Temple). It takes about two minutes from the South Gate, Minami-Mon, to Shunkōin Temple on foot.

    Kyoto Bus System, or Kyoto Basu

    The Kyoto Bus is the best public transportation system from the downtown area to Shunkōin Temple and Myōshinji Temple. Take a No. 61, 62, 63, or 65 bus from three bus stops (i. Shijo-Kawaramachi, ii. Sanjō-Keihan, and iii. Sanjō-Kawaramachi) in the downtown area. It takes you to Shunkōin Temple in only 15 to 20 minutes. You get off a bus at the Myōshinji-mae bus stop. From the bus stop, it takes only 5 minutes to Shunkōin on foot.
